K.P. Energy Signs 100 MW Wind Power PPA with GUVNL, Expands IPP Portfolio Beyond 250 MW

K.P. Energy Ltd. has executed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.(GUVNL) for the development of a 100 MW grid connected wind power project under the company's Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment.

The agreement follows the Letter of Intent issued by GUVNL on March 30, 2026, under the tariff based competitive bidding process for Wind Tender Phase X. The project also received approval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) for both the tariff and the PPA.

Under the agreement, the 100 MW wind power project will supply electricity to GUVNL at an approved tariff of INR 3.435 per unit for a period of 25 years. The scheduled commencement of power supply is July 30, 2028, which is 24 months from the date of execution of the agreement.

The latest project increases K.P. Energy's cumulative IPP portfolio to more than 250 MW, strengthening its position in India's renewable energy sector and expanding its long term partnership with state power utilities.

The company clarified that the agreement has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related party transaction or promoter interest.
