KP Energy Receives First Karnataka Order from Emmvee Energy for 42 MW Group Captive Hybrid Project

KP Energy has received an LOI from Emmvee Energy to develop a 42 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Karnataka under the Group Captive mode, comprising 21 MW of wind and 21 MWp of solar capacity. This marks KP Group’s first order in Karnataka.

KP Energy, a part of KP Group, has announced that the company has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Emmvee Energy for setting up a 42 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project under the Group Captive mode in Karnataka.
 
The proposed project entails 21 MW of wind capacity along with 21 MWp of Solar capacity, taking the total project size to 42 MW. The plant is proposed to be commissioned to meet the captive power requirements of Emmvee Energy's manufacturing facilities in Karnataka, KP Energy stated in a regulatory filing.
 
It further added that it’s the company’s first order in Karnataka and represents an important step in its geographical expansion beyond its core markets. “This development strengthens the company's presence in the C&I and Group Captive space and reinforces its position as a trusted renewable energy partner,” the company said.
 
In Q1 FY27, KP Energy reported 136 percent YoY income growth to INR 521 crore, with its renewable portfolio reaching 3.73 GW. This included 1.57 GW of installed capacity and 2.16 GW of projects in hand.
 
KP Group currently has around 9.2 GW of capacity and is targeting more than 10 GW by 2030. Its businesses cover solar, wind, hybrid renewable energy, battery energy storage systems, floating solar, green hydrogen, offshore wind, engineering and infrastructure.
