Kosol Energie has signed an investment Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth INR 90,000 crore at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2026, held on January 12, 2026, in Rajkot. The agreement marks India’s efforts to strengthen clean, sustainable and self-reliant energy infrastructure.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, alongside leading industrialists, highlighting the government’s continued focus on renewable energy and green industrial development.

Led by Chairman and Managing Director, Kalpesh Kalthia, Kosol Energie’s proposed investment is aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047 initiatives. The company will focus on scaling solar energy, green hydrogen and green ammonia as key pillars of India’s future clean energy ecosystem.

The investment will support the development of advanced solar module manufacturing facilities, next-generation research and development centres, large-scale renewable energy parks and integrated green energy ecosystems. These initiatives are expected to further strengthen Gujarat’s position as a global hub for clean energy innovation and manufacturing.

In addition to infrastructure and technology development, the project is expected to generate more than one lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities, boost regional economic growth and enable international collaborations in renewable energy and green industrial solutions.

Commenting on the development, Kalthia said, “The presence of the Prime Minister and the Gujarat Chief Minister at Vibrant Gujarat 2026 reinforces the government’s strong commitment to sustainable development. Kosol Energie’s fully automated solar manufacturing capabilities and its installed base of over 2.5 GWp of solar PV projects across India is a reflection of the company’s confidence in India’s renewable energy potential.”

He further noted that the company has received global recognition for its technology leadership and execution excellence, including being ranked among top Tier-1 global solar manufacturers by Wood Mackenzie. According to him, the company views renewable energy not just as a technology, but as a transformative movement that supports energy independence, economic growth and environmental stewardship.

The company also stated that it remains open to exploring large-scale investment opportunities across multiple Indian states to accelerate India’s progress towards its Net Zero targets while creating employment for local communities.
