Kosol Energie, RenewSys Sign 1.2 GW POE Encapsulant and Backsheet Supply Deal
Kosol Energie and RenewSys have signed a purchase agreement at REI Expo 2026 for 1.2 GW of POE encapsulant and backsheet materials for delivery between October 2026 and September 2027. The parties signed the agreement at REI Expo 2026.

As part of the agreement, RenewSys will supply 1.2 GW of POE encapsulant and backsheet, which are used in solar module manufacturing, to Kosol Energie from October 2026 to September 2027.
The agreement is intended to support Kosol Energie’s sourcing requirements and will support Kosol's production of advanced, high-efficiency solar modules at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
“This partnership highlights the importance of strategic sourcing, dependable supply chains, and industry collaboration in supporting the expansion of solar manufacturing,” stated Kosol Energie.
Last year, RenewSys inked a 1.1 GW POE encapsulant supply deal with Kosol Energie to support high-efficiency solar module manufacturing from December 2025 to September 2026. Prior to that, in August 2025, RenewSys signed a 700 MW POE encapsulant supply deal from August to December 2025.
