Sweden-based clean-tech company KonveGas is advancing its India entry strategy and exploring partnerships to scale its composite gas storage solutions, with a key focus on the upcoming Bioenergy, Biofuels & Biomaterials (BBB) Summit 2026.

The summit, scheduled from May 7–9 at Yashobhoomi, will serve as a platform for the company to engage with stakeholders across India’s energy, mobility, and manufacturing sectors. This follows KonveGas’s earlier investment announcement at India Energy Week, signalling its growing commitment to the Indian market.

The company is aiming to localise production and form joint ventures in line with India’s push for domestic manufacturing, while also aligning its strategy with the proposed India–EU Free Trade Agreement. The agreement is expected to accelerate technology transfer and deepen cooperation in sustainability-driven industries.

KonveGas specializes in Type 4 glass fiber composite cylinders, which are significantly lighter than traditional steel alternatives and resistant to corrosion. The technology is positioned as a solution to logistical challenges in India’s rapidly expanding compressed bio-gas (CBG) and green hydrogen sectors, particularly in reducing transportation costs over long distances.

Founder and CEO Alexander Enulescu said that the company is moving from initial engagement to active expansion, with a focus on building partnerships across manufacturing, distribution, and infrastructure under the 'Make in India' initiative.

At the summit, KonveGas plans to showcase applications of its lightweight cylinders in heavy-duty transport and maritime segments, discuss localised manufacturing opportunities, and highlight the potential to cut logistics-related carbon emissions by up to 70 percent

The company is currently progressing with its formal India launch and is inviting collaborations with public sector enterprises and private players to integrate its technology into the country’s evolving clean energy supply chain.
