KLK Ventures, a solar energy company, has secured a work order from the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), a Punjab Government undertaking, for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 7,968 Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) street lighting systems across various Gram Panchayats in Punjab.
The project marks a significant step towards strengthening rural infrastructure through renewable energy and expanding access to sustainable street lighting across the state.
Through this initiative, KLK Ventures will support Punjab’s renewable energy goals and strengthen rural infrastructure by improving street lighting, visibility and accessibility in village communities. The work order covers 7,968 12-watt LED-based Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) street lighting systems, equipped with Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS) and geo-tagging. It includes a five-year comprehensive warranty and annual maintenance to ensure reliable performance. The scope comprises 7,003 systems with poles and 965 without poles, contributing to sustainable public infrastructure across designated rural locations in Punjab.
The project comes amid a wider initiative by PEDA to meet the demand for approximately 50,000 solar street lights across Gram Panchayats in Punjab. The agency had invited successful bidders to participate in the allocation process, with quantities determined based on the consolidated requirements received from the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats and district administrations. KLK Ventures will execute the work in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the work order.
Commenting on the development, Akshat Jain, CEO of KLK Ventures, said, “We are pleased to receive this work order from PEDA, which reflects our commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable solar energy solutions. Rural solar street lighting can play an important role in improving public infrastructure while supporting the broader transition towards clean energy. Through this project, we look forward to contributing to Punjab’s renewable energy goals by delivering quality installations backed by robust monitoring, warranty and maintenance support.”
The project reinforces KLK Ventures’ focus on delivering end-to-end solar energy solutions, from design and supply to installation, commissioning and long-term maintenance. By combining energy-efficient LED technology with solar power, remote monitoring and geo-tagging, the initiative aims to support dependable street lighting infrastructure in rural communities across Punjab.
