Kinetic Engineering has announced that its promoter group has infused INR 40 crore into the company through the conversion of warrants, increasing promoter shareholding to 65 percent as the firm steps up investments in electric mobility and automotive components.
The investment strengthens the capital base of the flagship company of the Kinetic Group as it expands its capabilities in electric vehicle components, battery systems and precision engineering solutions for global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
The transaction is subject to necessary approvals and regulatory provisions. Following the conversion of warrants, the promoter stake in the company has risen, signalling stronger promoter participation in the company’s future growth plans.
Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ajinkya Firodia said the investment reflects the promoter group’s continued confidence in the company’s strategy as the automotive industry shifts toward electric mobility.
“It is a highly exciting time for us at Kinetic. The response to the scooter, Kinetic DX, launched by the subsidiary company, is phenomenal. We are expanding nationwide and plan to appoint over 150 dealers this year,” Firodia said.
He added that the funds will support expansion across both the company’s component business and its electric mobility initiatives.

The company’s subsidiary, Kinetic Watts and Volts, in which KEL holds an 80 percent stake, recently launched the electric version of the Kinetic DX EV scooter. The vehicle features a metal body, 37-litre under-seat storage and a Range-X lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery.
Sales and service operations for the scooter have started in several cities, including Pune, Mumbai, Vadodara, Surat, Indore and Delhi NCR, with plans to expand distribution nationwide.
