KENT RO Systems Launches KENT New Energy Division for Home Power Solutions

KENT RO Systems enters the home energy market with KENT New Energy, introducing solar storage, hybrid inverters and lithium battery-based power backup solutions.

KENT RO Systems, has launched KENT New Energy, a new division for home energy products. After water purification and Kühl BLDC fans, the launch takes KENT RO into renewable power.

The division has two product lines. Solar Energy Storage for homes with rooftop solar capable for running heavy loads such as air-conditioners and pumps. Power Backup products are for homes that run on conventional inverter. Both are supported by the company's own software for remote monitoring and voice-based set-up.

Mahesh Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, KENT RO Systems, said, "Our vision is to build on the trust KENT has earned and extend our role across three essentials of everyday life: water, air and power. We began by helping families access purified drinking water. Now we want to empower them to generate, store and manage electricity in their own homes. By making solar power and modern storage accessible to more households, we aim to lower their long-term energy costs and contribute to India's energy transition."

The Energy Storage Systems pair high-capacity lithium batteries with solar hybrid inverters. High-capacity lithium batteries store solar and grid power for use in the evening and during outages. It comes in 5.1 kWh, 11.8 kWh and 16 kWh capacities, is rated for more than 6,000 charge cycles and carries a 10-year warranty. Up to 16 packs can be connected in parallel for larger requirements.

The solar hybrid inverters combine solar, grid and battery power and are designed to run high-load appliances through an outage. The single-phase range comes in 3 kW, 5 kW and 6 kW models. The 3 kW model can easily run one inverter AC along with the home's lighting load, while the 5 kW model supports two inverter ACs, a submersible pump and lighting. For larger requirements, the three-phase range offers 10 kW, 12 kW and 15 kW capacities.

Every Kent hybrid inverter is supplied with a 4G data logger and a five-year data pack, included in the price. Through the KENT central command mobile app, installers can see the live status of every inverter they have installed and change settings remotely, without a site visit. Because the logger uses the mobile network rather than home Wi-Fi, the inverter stays connected 24x7. Data is stored on Kent servers in India, in line with MNRE requirements.

In the Power Backup line, KENT RO introduced its 12/24V Lithium batteries, which replace lead-acid batteries in existing home UPS and inverters. The range comprises capacities from 1.28 kWh all the way to 3.84 kWh. The batteries have a stated design life of 10 years, support 90 percent depth of discharge and need no water top-ups. Users can track charge level, usage and battery health on the KENT app. The 12V lithium battery starts at only INR 22,000. KENT RO estimates savings of INR 30,000 to INR 1 lakh over 10 years compared with conventional lead-acid batteries.

The Power Backup line also includes the KENT all-in-one inverter, which builds the inverter and a lithium battery into a single compact unit, replacing the separate inverter and bulky lead-acid battery found in most homes, and the H1 series home UPS. Both come in 1100 VA and 2400 VA models.

Gupta added, "For a household, dependable power means continuity: children can study, people can work and daily life can carry on. With lithium batteries, solar hybrid inverters and home inverters, we are bringing together reliable backup, greater convenience and smarter power management. Our ambition is to make these technologies a practical, economical choice for the Indian home."

KENT RO has invested nearly INR 250 crore in its lithium battery and inverter plant in Sector 159, Noida. The fully air-conditioned facility covers 3 lakh sq. ft. on a six-acre site. It has an installed annual capacity of 3.5 GWh, which will rise to 10 GWh over the next six months. The company sources its cells directly from Tier 1 manufacturers such as EVE and REPT. For its solar hybrid inverters, it is working with Tier 1 inverter manufacturers.

The products will be sold through KENT RO's dealer network, retail stores and online channels. Solar hybrid inverters and larger battery packs will also be sold through system integrators and EPC partners. Sales will be supported by product demonstrations, installer training and after-sales service.

India's inverter battery market is estimated at about USD 1.31 billion (over INR 11,000 crore) in 2026 and is expected to grow at double digits till 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence. Lithium-ion batteries and hybrid inverters are forecasted to grow faster. Rooftop solar is adding to the demand. Homes accounted for 82 per cent of the 2.7 GW of rooftop solar installed in India in the first quarter of 2026, according to Mercom India Research, driven largely by the government's PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, which aims to bring rooftop solar to one crore households.
