Ken-Betwa Link Project to Cost approx Rs.11,676 Crore
To provide 78 MW of hydropower

The Ken-Betwa Link Project, benefiting Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, has been taken up for the implementation. The estimated cost of the Phase-I and Phase-II of the Ken-Betwa Link project is Rs.9393 Crore (2008 price level) and Rs.2283 Crore (2012-13 price level) respectively.
The Ken-Betwa Link project envisages 7.35 lakh hectares of irrigation, 78 MW of hydropower and provides drinking water to 15.07 lakh population. No other river link proposal of Madhya Pradesh is currently under consideration in the Central Government.
