KEC International Secures Largest Saudi T&D Order in INR 1,476 Crore Win

KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) major and part of RPG Enterprises, has secured new orders worth INR 1,476 crore for Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects across India, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.

The company has won its largest-ever composite T&D order in Saudi Arabia, which includes the development of 380 kV transmission lines, substations, and extra-high voltage (EHV) cabling. The order marks a significant milestone for the company’s international T&D operations.

In addition, the company secured a contract for 132 kV transmission line projects in Africa, indicating a gradual revival in the region’s power transmission market.

The order portfolio also includes the supply of transmission towers in India and the Americas, along with hardware and poles supply contracts in the Americas.

Commenting on the development, Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of the company, said the latest order wins across multiple geographies reflect strong demand for power transmission infrastructure globally. He added that securing the company’s largest composite order in Saudi Arabia, despite ongoing geopolitical challenges, signals continued investment momentum in the Middle East’s T&D sector.

According to the company, these new orders have significantly strengthened its international T&D order book, with year-to-date order intake reaching around INR 22,800 crore.

KEC International operates across multiple infrastructure segments including power transmission and distribution, civil construction, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables and conductors, with a presence in over 110 countries.
