KEC International Procures Transmission Tower Manufacturing Facility in Dubai

KEC International Ltd has announced its wholly-owned subsidiary KEC Towers LLC has acquired a transmission tower manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 50,000 tonne in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
“This facility will help us in expanding our business at a time when we are clearly witnessing resurgence of tendering activity in the Middle East and North Africa,” Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of KEC International said.
The company said in a declaration the acquisition will boost its credentials to secure additional business in the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan (MENA) region on account of local price preferences and fiscal benefits.
"The strategic location of the plant will be proximity to infrastructure facilities - Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport, which will help the company to improve efficiencies and bringing flexibility in utilising the facility to serve as a hub for merchant supplies of towers," it said.
Post this procurement, KEC has six facilities manufacturing transmission towers, railway and solar structures, monopoles and hardware across India, UAE, Brazil and Mexico with a total manufacturing capacity of up to 422,200 tonne per annum.
