KEC International Forays into Wind Energy Sector with BoP Order for 100 MW Project in South India
KEC International, the EPC powerhouse from the RPG Group, has clinched new orders worth INR 1,050 crore across renewables, civil, transmission & distribution, and cables, including its maiden BoP contract for a 100 MW wind project in Southern India.

Infrastructure EPC major KEC International, an RPG Group Company, has announced that the company has secured new orders worth INR 1,050 crore across renewables, civil, transmission and distribution (T&D), and cables and conductors segment.
In the renewables segment, the company has secured a balance of plant (BoP) package order for a 100 MW wind power project in Southern India from a renowned private developer, the company said in a statement.
Further, it has secured an order in the buildings and factories (B&F) segment from an existing client for the execution of a downstream project in Western India for a leading steel player, it said.
KEC International has secured orders for supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas. It has also bagged orders for supply of various types of cables and conductors in India and the overseas markets.
Commenting on the development, Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO, KEC International, commented, “We are pleased with the new order wins across businesses especially the maiden order in the Wind Energy segment secured by our Renewables business, marking our entry into this fast-growing area of the Renewable energy sector.”
He further added, “Our Civil business continues to strengthen its presence in the B&F segment with a large downstream project from a leading steel player. Our subsidiary, SAE Towers has secured significant tower supply orders in Mexico, reflecting an uptick in the North American T&D market.”
With these wins, the company’s year-to-date order intake stands at about INR 19,300 crore, stated Kejriwal.
KEC International has a presence in the verticals of power transmission and distribution, civil, railways, urban infrastructure, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables. The company is currently executing infrastructure projects in over 30 countries and has a footprint in over 110 countries (including EPC, supply of towers and cables).
