Kazam, an India-based EV energy solutions provider, has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) to accelerate public EV charging access nationwide.

Through this collaboration, over 5,350 HPCL chargers, including 3,043 DC fast chargers strategically located on highways, major cities, and retail outlets, are now integrated into the Kazam app via its OCPI-powered platform.

This integration enables EV users across India to explore, navigate, and access HPCL’s expanding charging network in real time, simplifying EV charging like never before. As part of the Government of India’s PM eDrive scheme, HPCL, operating more than 24,000 fuel retail outlets, is rapidly scaling its EV charging infrastructure, demonstrating a strong commitment to decarbonising mobility and promoting sustainable transportation.

“Kazam’s OCPI platform will provide seamless aggregation and real-time visibility of HPCL chargers, enabling EV users to discover, navigate, and charge effortlessly. This partnership strengthens India’s public EV charging ecosystem and represents a decisive step in the country’s transition to sustainable mobility,” said Paras Shah, COO of Kazam.

Kushal Kumar Banerjee, Chief General Manager at HPCL, added, “Partnering with Kazam helps expand India’s EV charging ecosystem, providing easier access and reliable operations for users. This collaboration underlines HPCL’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions, supporting the PM eDrive initiative, and accelerating the adoption of clean transportation. Together, we aim to make EV charging convenient, accessible, and user-friendly, contributing to a greener and smarter future for India’s transport sector.”

Kazam’s OCPI platform also ensures interoperability with multiple charging protocols and advanced backend monitoring for charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs), supporting reliable operations and scalable growth.
