In a meeting with a Japanese parliamentary delegation, Karnataka's Cabinet Minister of Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, MB Patel, outlined the state's ambition to establish itself as the leading destination for Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing.
The meeting, attended by Members of Parliament from Japan, the Consul General, and the Deputy Consul General in Bengaluru, focused on fostering collaboration in the evolving field of clean mobility.
In a social media update, Patel highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance the relationship between Karnataka and Japan stating that the collaboration between the two has flourished, with over 525 Japanese companies, including industry giants Toyota and Honda, actively participating in industrial activities.
Karnataka has emerged as a hub of innovation, hosting initiatives such as the Japan Industrial Township in Tumkur and the Japan-India Startup Hub, fostering collaboration between startups from both countries.
Minister MB Patel expressed the state government's dedication to elevating the Karnataka-Japan partnership to new heights. He extended a warm invitation to more Japanese companies with technological expertise, urging them to invest and contribute to Karnataka's continued growth.
