Kalpataru Power Transmission Bags New Projects worth Rs 1,554 Cr in India and Overseas Markets

Global EPC player in the power and infrastructure contracting sector Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) has received new orders and notification of award aggregating about Rs 1,554 crore from the Indian and overseas markets.

Global EPC player in the power and infrastructure contracting sector Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) has received new orders and notification of award aggregating about Rs 1,554 crore from the Indian and overseas markets.

The company has secured orders from India, CIS and Latin America regions in the power transmission business, along with the European region through its international subsidiary.

Commenting on winning new orders, Manish Mohnot, Managing Director & CEO of Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd said that “we are delighted with the new order wins in our power transmission business. These new order wins help us to strengthen our power transmission order book in India and overseas market.”

Mohnot further added “our current year order inflow has reached around Rs 8,000 crores and additionally we have good visibility across all our businesses. Our order book visibility with low debt gives us confidence of growth from long-term perspective.”

Recently, the company had also signed a definitive agreement to acquire controlling stake of 51 per cent in Fasttel Engenharia Ltda, Brazil (Fasttel) for about USD 8.80 million, subject to customary adjustments.

The agreement was signed by Kalpataru Power do Brasil Participações Ltda, a wholly owned subsidiary of KPTL in Brazil.

The move was in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen its core engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) business and have greater geographical presence in stable and growing markets.

Besides, it has also reported a significant growth of 132 per cent in its consolidated net profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 308 crore during the October-December quarter of FY21, mainly on account of rise in revenue from operations. The company’s consolidated net profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 133 crore during the same period a year ago.
