Kalpa Power has announced its entry into Rajasthan with a 15 MW AC (18.5 MWp DC) open access hybrid solar power project for Wonder Cement at Guwali in Pratapgarh district.
The project will be integrated with a 1.5 MWh WATTBANK Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and is designed to support the cement manufacturer's renewable energy requirements, stated Kalpa Power.
According to the company, the project will be supported by its in-house Energy Management System (EMS), which will optimise solar generation, battery storage and Wonder Cement's existing wind energy assets. Kalpa Power's scope of work includes design, engineering, commissioning, as well as long-term operations and maintenance of the project.
The company said that the project marks another step in deploying integrated renewable energy solutions for industrial consumers and expanding its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy market.
Last month, Kalpa Power inaugurated its 70 MWp Open Access Solar Park 6 in Risod, Maharashtra, developed to supply clean energy to multiple commercial and industrial consumers.
The company has executed over 300 projects with a cumulative capacity exceeding 490 MWp and has set a target of achieving 5 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
