Jyoti Structures Successfully Charges Key 400 kV Transmission Sections in Ahmedabad

The EPC major energises critical stretches of the Pirana–Ahmedabad 400 kV multi-circuit network, marking a milestone in strengthening Gujarat’s power transmission infrastructure.

Jyoti Structures (JSL), a listed Engineering, Procurement and Construction company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, today announced the successful charging of critical sections of the 400 kV multi-circuit transmission network between Pirana and Ahmedabad, marking a milestone in the project execution.

The transmission line from Torrent Power Grid (TPL), Pirana to Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), Ahmedabad (CKT-1) was successfully charged on February 19, 2026. Subsequently, the line from PGCIL, Pirana to PGCIL, Ahmedabad was energised on the same day.

The successful energisation was accomplished after overcoming multiple operational and technical challenges, ensuring smooth, safe and reliable commissioning of the infrastructure.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Kumar Singh, CEO, Jyoti Structures, said, “The energisation of these sections is a key milestone in the overall project and brings us closer to completing the full transmission corridor.
