Power transmission EPC company Jyoti Structures (JSL) has announced that the company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth INR 689.93 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) for the 765 kV DC Pachchham-Saykha transmission line project in Gujarat.
The scope of work includes the design, testing, supply, erection, and commissioning of the transmission line on a total turnkey basis. The project is scheduled for completion within 42 months from the date of the LoA, the company stated.
The order adds to JSL's portfolio of transmission projects in Gujarat, where the company is executing multiple projects for private developers and utilities. The state continues to see investment in transmission infrastructure alongside renewable energy development, creating demand for high-voltage transmission lines and power evacuation networks.
To support its expanding portfolio in the state, JSL recently inaugurated a dedicated project office in Ahmedabad. The facility houses project management teams and is designed to strengthen coordination between engineering, site execution, and customer teams. With closer oversight of project sites and improved access to stakeholders across Gujarat, the office supports the management of ongoing projects and the company's engagement with future transmission opportunities, the company asserted.
Commenting on the order, Amit Dutta, COO, Jyoti Structures, said, “Gujarat is an important market for us, with several transmission projects already under execution. Orders of this nature reflect the continued demand for specialised EPC capabilities in the power transmission sector. Our experience across transmission projects enable us to manage the engineering and execution requirements involved in delivering such infrastructure. We remain focused on building our project portfolio through the consistent delivery of projects to the required standards of quality and safety.”
The GETCO order follows JSL's recent contract in Sri Lanka, where the company partnered with Hayleys Fentons to develop a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line between Mannar and Mullikulam. The project will support the evacuation of wind power to Sri Lanka's national grid.
With over five decades of experience in power transmission EPC, JSL has constructed more than 37,600 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and delivered over 1,800 high-voltage substation bays. Its integrated capabilities span design and engineering, manufacturing, prototype tower testing, construction and project management. JSL also undertakes turnkey projects across substations, underground cabling and optical ground wire (OPGW) installations in India and international markets, the company stated.
