Juniper Green Inks PPA with Tata Power Company for 70 MW FDRE Power Project

Juniper Green Energy’s subsidiary, Juniper Sigma, has inked a 25-year PPA with Tata Power to supply 70 MW from a 180 MWp hybrid renewable project with 280 MWh BESS in Maharashtra, starting September 2027.

Juniper Green Energy has announced that its subsidiary Juniper Green Sigma Eight (Juniper Sigma) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Company for a capacity of 70 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) power project.

Under the 25-year PPA, Juniper Green Energy will develop a renewable energy power project in Maharashtra, which will be a mix of solar, wind and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project will have a renewable energy capacity of around 180 MWp and BESS of around 280 MWh. The power generated from this FDRE project will be supplied to TATA Power Company and is scheduled to commence supply of power from September 22, 2027.

Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer, Juniper Green Energy, said, “This PPA demonstrates our capability to undertake and deliver renewable projects that allows us to align with the country’s goal for sustainable and reliable power.”

Juniper Green Energy had previously signed a PPA with NHPC in June 2025 for a 250 MW FDRE Project to supply power to the state of Haryana.

The company aims to raise INR 3,000 crore through an initial public offering (IPO) to be launched in November 2025. The IPO will comprise only fresh issue of shares and there won't be any Offer-for-Sale (OFS) component.
