JSW Energy Signs PPA with BESCOM for 100 MW Solar Project with 100 MWh BESS
JSW Renew Energy Forty Five Ltd., a JSW Energy subsidiary, has signed a 25-year PPA with BESCOM for a 100 MW solar project with 100 MWh battery storage in Karnataka at a tariff of INR 4.31/kWh.

The project will be developed on a designated site and connected to the 220/400 kV KPTCL Firozabad substation in Kalaburagi district, the company said in a statement. It further added that the PPA has been signed for a tenure of 25 years at a tariff of INR 4.31/kWh.
Subsequent to this the company's total locked-in energy storage capacity stands at 29.4 GWh, including 3 GWh of BESS and 26.4 GWh of Pumped Hydro Storage.
Earlier this month, JSW Renew Energy Thirty Seven, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, signed a 12-year Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreements (BESPA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL) for 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) at a tariff of INR 2.24 lakh/MW/month.
In May 2025, JSW Neo Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of JSW Energy, signed a 40-year agreement with UPPCL to supply 1,500 MW/12,000 MWh of pumped hydro energy storage from a project to be commissioned in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh in the next 6 years.
In February 2025, JSW Energy secured a contract to develop a 125 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage system in Kerala through SECI's auction. The project, backed by viability gap funding, will enhance grid stability and support renewable energy integration, ensuring efficient power management.
The company is well-positioned to achieve its target of 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030, it said.
