JSW Energy Secures INR 443.74 Crore BESS Supply Order from Bondada Renewable
JSW Energy’s subsidiary JEPEL has received an INR 443.74 crore order from Bondada Renewable Energy to supply 200 MW/400 MWh BESS and PCS solutions.

JSW Energy PSP Eleven (JEPEL), a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy, has secured orders aggregating to INR 443.74 crore (200 MW / 400 MWh of BESS) from Bondada Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering, for the supply of BESS and PCS solutions. JEPEL operates a 5 GWh per annum battery assembly plant in Pune.
This engagement represents a step forward in the Company’s strategic expansion in the energy storage segment, reinforcing its commitment to building capabilities across the energy value chain. Battery Energy Storage Systems are increasingly becoming critical for India’s evolving power ecosystem, supporting grid stability, peak load management, renewable energy integration and round-the-clock power supply.
JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW — comprising 14.53 GW operational and 13.0 GW under construction across thermal, hydro and renewables, along with a pipeline of 4.6 GW. The company also has 29.6 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity, comprising pumped hydro storage of 26.4 GWh and battery energy storage systems of 3.2 GWh. The company aims to reach 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
