JSW Energy Partners with China’s Rongjie Energy for 5 GWh ESS Supply
China-based Rongjie Energy has signed a strategic MOU with JSW Energy for supplying 5 GWh of energy storage solutions based on 5 MWh and 6.26 MWh systems, using its 314Ah and 588Ah LFP cells.

China-based Rongjie Energy, a part of RJE Tech, has announced that the company has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with JSW Energy for the supply of energy storage system (ESS) solutions with a total capacity of 5 GWh.
The agreement covers 5 MWh and 6.26 MWh ESS systems, using Rongjie Energy’s 314Ah and newly mass-produced 588Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, the company stated.
JSW Energy has an installed power generation capacity of 13.45 GW and is targeting 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030. The agreement with Rongjie Energy is expected to support the company’s planned expansion in energy storage.
Earlier this month, Rongjie Energy formally signed a 4 GWh LFP cell framework agreement with Lineage Power for 2027, building on its initial 3 GWh cooperation signed in June 2026. The agreement covers Rongjie Energy’s 314Ah and 588Ah core products, tailored for utility-scale and C&I energy storage.
