JSW Energy Inks PPA for 300 MW Solar-Wind Hybrid Capacity with NHPC

JSW Energy, via its arm Energizent Power, has inked a 25-year PPA with NHPC for 300 MW of ISTS-connected solar-wind hybrid power at a tariff of INR 3.49/kWh. The projects will be located in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

JSW Energy, through its step-down subsidiary Energizent Power, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NHPC for ISTS-connected 300 MW solar-wind hybrid capacity.

The PPA is signed for the supply of power for a period of 25 years with a tariff of INR 3.49/kWh. The project is expected to be commissioned in the next 24 months and is located in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, stated the company in a regulatory filing.

JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 29.9 GW, comprising 12.5 GW operational, 12.8 GW under-construction across wind, thermal and hydro and a pipeline of 4.6 GW. The company also has 29.3 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage projects of 26.4 GWh and a battery energy storage system of 2.9 GWh.

The Company aims to reach 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030 and achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
