The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has declared to enhance RE infrastructure by releasing seven tenders for the operation and maintenance of solar mini/micro grid plants in various districts.

The selected agencies will be liable for a comprehensive maintenance contract and operation (CMCO) for a period of five years.

The tender will include a huge number of grid plants in different districts, comprising Chatra, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Pakur, Sahibganj, Simdega, and West Singhbhum.

An overall of 212 solar mini/micro grid plants will be contained in the contract, with agencies assigned with essential repairs, replacements, and upkeep of critical components such as Power Control Units (PCUs), solar modules, batteries, and other crucial parts.

The contractor must also ascertain continuous operation and maintenance, with skilled personnel available regularly.

The CMCO period will commence upon the re-commissioning of the SPV off-grid Power Plant and will need regular reports and schedules to be submitted to JREDA. Non-compliance may yield penalties. Only authorized dealers, companies, firms, and corporations are eligible to bid, while subcontractors are not allowed. Eligible bidders in Jharkhand can take benefit of Micro and Small Enterprise schemes for qualification exemptions.

The tender comprises terms to ensure the efficient functionality of SPV Power Plants, boosting sustainable energy operation and management.
