Jakson Group Becomes First ALMM-Empanelled Indian Manufacturer for 600 Wp Solar Modules

Sameer Gupta-led Jakson Group has recently added one more first to its credit. The diversified energy and infrastructure company claimed that it has become the only Indian manufacturer to be ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) empanelled for its 600 Wp solar modules using M10 half-cut cell technology.

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has updated the approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM) for solar modules in its seventh update.

Earlier, the company’s polycrystalline and monocrystalline modules were already on the approved list of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

Now, with the empanelment of its Helia Series, Jakson has become the company’s first company whose 600 Wp solar modules are ALMM-empanelled.

Jakson’s Helia series modules are one of the most advanced and powerful photovoltaic (PV) modules offered in the Indian market and are available in variants ranging from 120, 132, 144, and 156 half-cut cells configuration. Developed using A+ category half-cut MonoPERC solar cells and combined with Multi-busbar (MBB) technology & high-density interconnections, the Helia series of PV modules achieved a class-leading efficiency of over 21 per cent, the company said in a statement. 

Last month, the company formed its new venture ‘Jakson Green Pvt Ltd’ (JGPL) with an aim to expand footprints in the renewable energy space. The newly formed entity would be focusing on various lines of businesses including Green Hydrogen & Ammonia, Waste to Energy, Electrolysers and Fuel cells, Utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar and related Operation & Maintenance services among others.
