Jakson Green to Invest Rs 22,400 Cr in Setting up Green Ammonia and Green Hydrogen Project in Kota, Rajasthan

Jakson Group’s newly formed renewable energy arm Jakson Green has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rajasthan Government to invest about Rs 22,400 crore in the State for setting up a Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia project.

Jakson Group’s newly formed renewable energy arm Jakson Green has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rajasthan Government to invest about Rs 22,400 crore in the State for setting up a Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia project.
 
The proposed plant would be built in Kota, Rajasthan in phases beginning with 15,000 tons p.a. Green Ammonia facility by 2025.
 
The MoU was signed between Vish Iyer, Global Chief Commercial Officer, Jakson Green and Bhaskar S Sawant, Principal Secretary of Energy to the Government of Rajasthan, in the presence of other key officials from both sides.
 
The company is planning to set up a 3,65,000 tons p.a. Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia plant along with an integrated hybrid renewable power complex.
 
On the employment creation front, the project is expected to generate more than 32,000 direct and indirect jobs across various phases of development, which is planned between 2023 and 2028.
 
The company in a statement said that the state government would facilitate it in obtaining necessary registrations, approvals, clearances, and provide incentives, among others.
 
Commenting on the development, Bhaskar S Sawant, Principal Secretary of Energy to the Government of Rajasthan, said that “it has been proved again that Rajasthan is the most ideal destination for investments in the new energy transition. This agreement with Jakson Green is further testimony to the state’s investor-centric policies.”
