Jakson Green Partners with REC for Solar IPP Projects

In a move to boost India's renewable energy sector, Jakson Green has signed an INR 1,420 crore memorandum of understanding (MoU) with REC Ltd. for solar IPP projects.
As per the firm's press note this investment is expected to enhance renewable energy capacity, cut carbon emissions, and support India's Net Zero goals. "The initiative not only addresses climate challenges but also contributes to building resilient infrastructure and a sustainable economy for future generations. Jakson Green is spearheading several high-impact initiatives across the clean energy landscape," said the firm in its note.
Jakson Green, a new energy transition platform supported by Jakson, specialises in the EPC, IPP, IHP, and O&M of new energy assets. Their portfolio includes solar, utility-scale energy storage, waste-to-energy, fuel cell technologies, green hydrogen, and green ammonia projects.
As per the firm's portal, Jakson Green has partnered with one of the largest independent renewable power producers to deliver a 300 MWp solar PV project supported by a 126 MWh battery energy storage system in the CIS region. Additionally, they are constructing the country’s largest C&I solar PV project (552 MWp) in Rajasthan on a turnkey EPC basis for a leading global asset manager.
