In a move to accelerate clean energy adoption across emerging markets, the International Solar Alliance (ISA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Discom Association (AIDA) to collaborate on solarisation, utility digitisation, AI-enabled distribution systems, and knowledge exchange for ISA member countries.

“Bringing together India’s power distribution expertise and ISA’s global cooperation platform, the partnership aims to support scalable, practical solutions for strengthening clean energy deployment and sustainable development across the Global South,” ISA stated.

In February 2026, the International Solar Alliance signed a Framework for Action with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi to strengthen clean energy capacity building, academic collaboration, and global solar talent development across member countries.

In January 2026, ISA and SELCO Foundation signed an MoU to jointly scale solar-led livelihood and productive-use solutions across Africa and other Global South regions, shifting the focus from energy access to measurable development impact.

In March 2026, the All India Discoms Association (AIDA) signed an MoU with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to collaborate on the India Grids of the Future Accelerator initiative aimed at modernising and digitalising the country's power distribution networks.
