IREDA Signs MoU with IIT Bhubaneswar to Boost Renewable Energy Innovation

Under the MoU, both entities commit to collaborative research endeavors, technology transfer initiatives, and nurturing the burgeoning start-up ecosystem within the renewable energy domain.

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar for advancement in innovation and research in the renewable energy sector.

The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the 100 Cube Start-up Conclave hosted by IIT Bhubaneswar, sets the stage for joint efforts in fostering technological advancements and supporting start-up initiatives.

Under the MoU, both entities commit to collaborative research endeavors, technology transfer initiatives, and nurturing the burgeoning start-up ecosystem within the renewable energy domain. The agreement also encompasses a range of capacity-building activities, including training programs, seminars, and workshops designed to enhance the skill sets of IREDA personnel.

The signing ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA, and Dr. Debi Prasad Dogra, Independent Director of IIT Bhubaneswar. Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, graced the occasion, highlighting the significance of the partnership in driving innovation and sustainable development in the renewable energy sector.

Commenting on the collaboration, Pradip Kumar Das, CMD of IREDA, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "This partnership with IIT Bhubaneswar marks a significant milestone in our journey towards fostering innovation and sustainable development in the renewable energy domain. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both organizations, we aim to drive impactful research initiatives and propel the growth of the renewable energy sector."
