IREDA & SECI Estimated 37% Surpass at INR 37,828 Cr for FY24
The estimated investment by two PSUs under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is evaluated as 37 percent higher at INR 37,828.15 crore for 2023-24.

The estimated investment by two PSUs under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is evaluated as 37 percent higher at INR 37,828.15 crore for 2023-24.
The comparison is drawn as given in the revised estimate (RE) worth INR 27,547.47 crore total investment by the two firms including, IREDA and SECI for 2022-23.
The estimated investment by two PSUs under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is evaluated as 37 percent higher at INR 37,828.15 crore for 2023-24. The comparison is drawn as given in the revised estimate (RE) worth INR 27,547.47 crore total investment by the two firms including, IREDA and SECI for 2022-23.
Also, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) is anticipated to exceed the investmentto INR 2,050.80 crore in 2023-24 from RE of INR 1,943.96 crore for the present fiscal year. Previously, 2022-23 INR 998.65 crore was allotted.
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA)was instituted in 1987 and approved as self-governing organization under Government of India and regulated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd(SECI) is a CPSU regulated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)and instituted in 2011 to promote the implementation of the National Solar Mission (NSM).
The aggregate expenditureof Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has also been augmented to INR 10,222 crore for 2023-24 from RE of INR 7,033 crore in this continuing financial year. In the last year, the budget was allotted INR 6,900.68 crore.
