INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has inaugurated a 200 tonnes-per-day liquid air separation unit in Atchutapuram, Andhra Pradesh, expanding its capacity to supply industrial and medical gases to the state.

The facility, inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T. G. Bharath, will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon, the company said.

Spread across 6.77 acres, the plant is expected to serve industries including pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, steel and metals, ferro alloys, chemicals, glass and engineering.

INOXAP said the facility can also be optimised to produce 5N ultra-high-purity liquid nitrogen for specialised applications in solar and semiconductor manufacturing.

The company said the plant would strengthen the availability of critical industrial gases and medical oxygen in the state, while supporting emerging manufacturing sectors and Andhra Pradesh's long-term industrial development plans.

“This facility reflects our confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial potential and our commitment to building critical gas infrastructure ahead of demand. Industrial gases are a vital component of modern manufacturing, while medical oxygen is a critical component of healthcare delivery. Our first 200 TPD ASU in the State of Andhra Pradesh, at Atchutapuram, aims to strengthen the availability of both, supporting established industries and emerging applications in solar and semiconductors.”

“It also aims to create employment opportunities across its operations and associated services. We thank the Government of Andhra Pradesh for its support as we deepen our presence in the State and contribute to its progress and prosperity,” said Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, INOX Air Products.

The inauguration was also attended by Yelamanchili MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar and Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation Chairman Pragada Nageswara Rao.

The new plant is INOXAP's first 200 TPD air separation unit in Andhra Pradesh.
