Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a wind energy solutions provider, has achieved a significant milestone as its 3 MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG), with booster capacity up to 3.3 MW, has been enlisted in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. This listing signifies that the 3 MW wind turbine is now commercially available.

Developed with globally renowned AMSC as the technology partner, Inox Wind's 3 MW WTG is a globally proven turbine with over a decade of operating history. Featuring a 145 m rotor diameter, one of the largest in its class, the turbine will be offered in multiple hub height variants, including 100 m, 120 m, and 140 m. The compact design of the turbine results in lower costs of production, transport and logistics, and installation, providing the company with a sustainable edge in the Indian market.

With multiple orders already in hand, totaling over 550 MW for the 3 MW WTGs, and with RLMM certification in place, Inox Wind is set to witness a significant ramp-up in manufacturing and supplies to meet the growing demand.

Kailash Tarachandani, CEO of Inox Wind, expressed his enthusiasm about the RLMM listing, stating, "The RLMM listing of our state-of-the-art 3 MW WTGs is an important milestone for the company, and we can now accelerate the commercial sales. We believe our 3 MW turbines are the best-in-class offerings suited for Indian wind conditions and will be a key growth driver for us going forward. The product has received huge interest from our customers across PSU, IPP, and C&I segments, and this listing will help us further accelerate our supplies and installation of the turbines."

Inox Wind's strategic plans for the next decade align with India's Aatmanirbhar vision, as the country aims to reach approximately 140 GW of wind capacity by 2030. As one of the few end-to-end wind solutions providers in India, Inox Wind is positioned uniquely to capitalize on the significant opportunity ahead and embark on a substantial growth journey.
