Infineon Hosts First OktoberTech in India

Infineon Technologies has recently  hosted OktoberTech Bengaluru, first time in India. The event drew more than 800 attendees from across industry, government and academia, uniting customers, ecosystem partners, policymakers and startups to explore what's next for technology in India.

With the theme of ‘Enabling the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047’, the event connects innovators across power electronics, AI, clean energy, smart mobility and digital infrastructure, showcasing how semiconductor innovation can be a powerful enabler of India's industrial and economic ambitions, from strengthening the ecosystem with innovation, developing talent and creating high-value jobs to a resilient power grid, secure digital services and a competitive manufacturing base.

Infineon announced three new strategic partnerships at OktoberTech Bengaluru spanning education, consumer technology and clean energy, each demonstrating how semiconductor technology can translate directly into measurable progress for India over the next two decades. 

Infineon Technologies and Scaler announced a partnership to equip Scaler's labs with Infineon's maker kits, enabling students to design and build hardware and software solutions for physical AI applications. As part of the collaboration, Infineon will introduce relevant course content from its Infineon Academy into Scaler's curriculum, complementing classroom learning with real-world semiconductor engineering expertise. Infineon engineers will also contribute guest lectures and mentoring support to Scaler students. To further nurture hands-on innovation, both organisations will jointly organise make-a-thons and hackathons designed to give students direct experience in solving real engineering challenges.

Infineon Technologies and Titan Company, part of the Tata Group and an Indian manufacturer of fashion accessories including jewellery, watches, and eyewear, announced a partnership to equip Titan's Fastrack MYND Smartwatches with integrated payment and transit capabilities. Through this collaboration, Infineon's SECORA Connect and SECORA Wallet solutions will bring secure, seamless payment and transit functionality to the Fastrack MYND line, with full compatibility with RuPay.

Infineon Technologies and Zenergize, unveiled a new 15kW Grid-Tied Inverter designed for residential and small office applications, the result of an ongoing partnership between the two companies. Infineon will supply key components for the solution, including silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs, gate drivers, current sensors, and PSOC microcontrollers, enabling Zenergize to deliver a high-efficiency, locally engineered power solution for India's growing distributed energy market.
