IndiGrid has announced the signing of formal agreements to acquire two major renewable energy assets, namely ReNew Solar Aayan, a 300 MW (AC) solar power project, and the Koppal Narendra Transmission asset.

These acquisitions will be completed through two separate transactions with a combined enterprise value of approximately INR  2,108 crore. After including necessary adjustments, the total value is expected not to exceed  INR 2,175 crore.

This strategic move by IndiGrid aims to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio and expand its footprint in the transmission sector. The ReNew Solar Aayan project, located in Karnataka, adds significant solar capacity to IndiGrid’s operational assets, aligning with India’s growing push towards clean energy.

Meanwhile, the Koppal Narendra Transmission asset complements IndiGrid’s existing transmission network, enhancing grid stability and transmission capacity in key regions. Both acquisitions support IndiGrid’s long-term vision of becoming a leading platform for renewable energy infrastructure investments in India.

The company emphasised that these assets are expected to generate stable, long-term cash flows, further bolstering IndiGrid’s financial performance and enabling it to capitalise on emerging opportunities in India’s rapidly evolving renewable energy market.

This acquisition comes amid increasing investor interest and government focus on renewable energy, reflecting IndiGrid’s commitment to accelerating India’s clean energy transition and supporting the country’s ambitious renewable capacity targets.
