INA Solar Appoints Abhishek Kaushal as Chief Business Officer

Insolation Energy (INA Solar) has appointed Abhishek Kaushal as its Chief Business Officer, strengthening its leadership as it scales module and cell manufacturing capacity.

Solar panel manufacturer Insolation Energy (INA Solar) has announced the appointment of Abhishek Kaushal as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO).

Kaushal brings with him over 15 years of experience in the energy sector and is known for his expertise in market entry strategy, business development, sales expansion, and contract negotiations. He has experience of close to 12 years in senior leadership positions in the renewable energy sector.

Most recently, he was serving as the Director – South Asia at Huasun Energy, the Chinese HJT-based solar PV cell and module manufacturer. He also had a brief stint at Vikram Solar in 2023, as Vice President – Business Development (Indian Sub-Continent and Rest of World).

Before that, he served as the Country Head – India for Zhejiang Beyondsun Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Erstwhile Trunsun Solar Co., Ltd.), for which he was a key person behind the company’s market entry strategy and led it to achieve 6X growth in the Indian module business in its first year of operation.

He also possesses experience in the solar projects EPC and development sector as Manager, India – Renewables of IL&FS Renewable Energy. In this role, he oversaw business and project development across all stages, including planning and conceptualisation, project bidding, financial planning, work allocation, fundraising support, talent recruitment, and providing technical and domain expertise.

Kaushal holds an MBA in Oil and Gas, Energy and Infrastructure, and Marketing from the School of Management, Management Institute of Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar.

“With his strong business acumen and strategic mindset, we are confident he will play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth journey and strengthening our market presence,” INA Solar stated.

INA Solar has already commissioned a new 3 GW solar module plant, and the upcoming commissioning of 1.5 GW by Q3 FY26 end will position the company strongly for the second half of the year, the company stated earlier.

It has also started construction work on its 4.5 GW solar cell manufacturing plant and 18,000 MTPA aluminium frame manufacturing which the company aims to commercialise by H2 FY27. “This marks a significant milestone in deepening vertical integration and reinforcing India's domestic value chain in line with national renewable-energy priorities,” it said.
