IIT-Roorkee Inks Agreement with National Institute of Hydrology

IIT Roorkee has announced that it has signed an MoU with the National Institute of Hydrology as part of which, both the institutes shall share their important R&D equipment facilities on the mutually agreed terms

Both the institutes also agreed to conduct joint conferences/ workshops/training courses in areas of mutual interest. Furthermore, regular scientists and research students/candidates working full time in an R&D Project at NIH may be registered for MTech/PhD at IIT Roorkee.

“This collaboration was made after recognizing the importance of research and development in the areas of Hydrology, Hydropower, and Water Resources and appreciating the need for creation of a large reservoir of highly-qualified manpower in all fields related to Hydrology and Water Resources, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Nuclear Physics, Geology, Geophysics, and Hydro-meteorology. Both the institutes have decided to form a nucleus to promote excellent quality manpower with a focus on Hydrology, Water Resources, and related sciences,” said professor Ajit K Chaturvedi, director, IIT Roorkee.
