IESW 2024 to Attract Over INR 2,000 Crore in Energy Storage and Green Hydrogen

The event will include the unveiling of three critical knowledge papers by government officials.

The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) has announced an anticipated investment exceeding INR 2000 crore at the forthcoming 10th edition of India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2024. 

The announcement, made during a press conference in New Delhi, comes as India gears up for the energy storage and advanced battery event, set to be held from July 1-5, 2024.

IESW 2024 will witness the launch of five new factories. Singapore-based VFlowTech announced its new manufacturing facility in Palwal, Haryana, focused on advanced VRFB systems. Nash Energy will unveil its Li-Ion battery cell plant in Karnataka, with an annual capacity of 600 MWh, scalable to 1.5 GWh. BatX Energies will launch a state-of-the-art battery recycling and materials extraction facility, HUB-1. Lohum is entering the manufacturing sector for next-gen 'Manganese-rich' Lithium-ion batteries. Bharat Cell by Khusmanda Power will announce a 2 GWh BSES system manufacturing facility.

Among the product highlights at IESW 2024 are a 20 ft BESS System, specialized solvent extractant chemicals for cobalt recovery, Isothermal Air compression technology for long-duration energy storage, and Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels for green hydrogen storage.

The event will include the unveiling of three critical knowledge papers by government officials which include 'India’s roadmap for battery-grade graphite' by India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Council (IBMSCC), 'Battery Raw Materials Availability and Global Partnership' by Customized Energy Solutions and 'Mobility Electrification Journey, Prospects and Outlook in India' by India Electric Mobility Council (IEMC).

IESW 2024 is also expected to witness the signing of 5+ MoUs and Partnership deals at the event including one of the MoU between IESA and Powering Australia.
