ICON Solaren Power Technologies has signed a supply agreement with RenewSys India for 300 MW of high-performance encapsulants to support large-scale solar module production between January 2026 and April 2026.
Under the agreement, RenewSys will supply ICON Solaren with its latest-generation POE encapsulants engineered for enhanced durability, superior PID resistance, and long-term field performance; key attributes that support the next wave of high-efficiency solar modules. Produced at RenewSys’s advanced encapsulant facilities, these materials reflect the company’s sustained investment in technology, scale and quality.
India’s renewable energy roadmap, which targets 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, calls for robust domestic manufacturing capabilities. This collaboration between RenewSys and ICON Solaren aligns directly with that mission, highlighting how Indian manufacturers are innovating at scale to meet domestic demand for world-class components.
Shakti Dubey, Director, ICON Solaren, said “At ICON Solaren, quality and performance define every module we build. Partnering with RenewSys; an established leader in encapsulant technology; enables us to integrate reliable, and high quality materials into our production and further strengthen our commitment to delivering excellence.”
Commenting on the partnership, Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, RenewSys India, said, “This collaboration marks an important milestone in India’s solar manufacturing journey. Supplying 300 MW of our indigenously developed POE encapsulants to ICON Solaren reflects our commitment to the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and supports a fully self-reliant solar value chain aligned with DCR requirements across major national solar programmes. Our focus remains on ensuring that global-standard materials are designed, manufactured, and supplied in India.”
This partnership signals a significant advancement in strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem. By choosing RenewSys’ encapsulants for their upcoming module lines, ICON Solaren reinforces the industry’s collective shift toward reducing reliance on imported materials and building a more resilient, future-ready supply chain.
