Indian solar manufacturer IB Solar hosted a delegation of US energy leaders at its Noida manufacturing facility, showcasing its solar module production capabilities as India seeks to strengthen its position as a global clean energy manufacturing hub.

The delegation included Sarah Ladislaw, CEO of the New Energy Industrial Strategy (NEIS) Centre, and Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, CEO of the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), along with other representatives from the United States.

During the visit, the delegation toured the company's manufacturing facility, where IB Solar demonstrated its technology-driven production processes and quality control systems. The discussions centred on India's expanding solar manufacturing ecosystem, resilient supply chains and opportunities for greater international collaboration in the clean energy sector.

The visit comes as India ramps up domestic solar manufacturing through policy support aimed at reducing import dependence and building local capacity to meet the country's rapidly growing renewable energy demand.

IB Solar said the discussions also covered the future of clean energy manufacturing and the role of cross-border partnerships in accelerating the global energy transition.

In a post on LinkedIn after the visit, IB Solar said, "We sincerely thank the delegation, including representatives from the USA, the NSEFI, and the Asia Group, for their visit. We look forward to deepening partnerships that advance renewable energy, strengthen India-US cooperation, and accelerate the global energy transition."

The company said the visit reflected growing international interest in India's solar manufacturing sector and offered an opportunity to strengthen engagement between Indian manufacturers and global energy stakeholders.
