IB Solar has launched its IBHI Series Hybrid Inverter at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026 in Greater Noida, expanding its product portfolio to address the anticipated demand for hybrid solar systems in the Indian market.
The launch was attended by John Grimes, CEO of Renewable Energy Council Asia-Pacific (RECAP) and Chair-Elect of the Global Solar Council, and Dr. A. K. Jain, former Managing Director of Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments (REIL). S.K. Mahajan, Abhinav Mahajan, Aviral Mahajan and Aakshi Mahajan from IB Solar felicitated the dignitaries during the launch ceremony.
The introduction of hybrid inverters will enable IB Solar to offer a broader range of products through its channel sales network. Hybrid solar systems combine solar generation with battery storage, allowing users to store surplus electricity for use when solar generation is unavailable, depending on the system configuration.
IB Solar’s expansion into hybrid inverters comes amid growing interest in integrated rooftop solar and storage solutions. The company also highlighted the potential demand for hybrid systems under the PM Surya Ghar 2.0 initiative, with prospective system packages ranging from 1 kW to 10 kW. However, the availability and terms of any specific hybrid-system packages under the scheme would depend on the applicable government guidelines.
The launch adds to IB Solar’s clean energy product portfolio as the company seeks to cater to changing consumer requirements and expand its presence in the renewable energy market.
