Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) and Thermax have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the joint development and commercialisation of emerging technologies, including HP AEM electrolysers, CO₂ capture solutions, and bio-pyrolysis oil processing.
The MoU was signed at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 in Goa, marking a strategic step towards advancing clean and new energy solutions, HPCL stated.
“By combining HPCL’s process innovation and R&D capabilities with Thermax’s engineering and industrial implementation expertise, the partnership aims to deliver scalable, indigenous energy solutions,” it said.
This MoU reinforces both organisations’ commitment to ‘Make in India’ and supports India’s energy transition through sustainable, low-carbon technologies, it emphasised.
