HPCL Floats Tender for 78 MW Renewable Energy Supply

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has initiated a tender for the supply of 78 MW of renewable energy under long-term open access from projects located anywhere in India. The selected developer will be responsible for providing power to HPCL's refinery in Mumbai.

The deadline for bid submissions in the HPCL tender is November 29, 2023, with bids scheduled to open on the same day. 

The scope of work includes establishing an Inter-State Transmission System or Intra-State Transmission at a voltage level of 132 kV or above, connecting to renewable power projects for delivering power to HPCL.

The responsibilities of the selected developer encompass the identification of land, project installation, ownership, securing connectivity, obtaining approvals, and injecting power into the network. The Trombay Substation is designated as the final point of delivery, and the developer will manage power evacuation from the source of generation to the Injection Point.

Bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of INR 15.8 million. HPCL intends to enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement with the successful bidder.
