Hoymiles Power Electronics, a smart solar and energy storage solutions provider, has introduced the HIS-(3–6)L-G3, a single-phase hybrid inverter designed for residential installations. It is designed to serve as the hub of a sophisticated energy ecosystem, enabling homeowners to manage and optimise their solar energy infrastructure with greater efficiency and control.

Designed for flexibility, the hybrid series supports the parallel configuration of up to 10 units, allowing energy infrastructure to scale alongside evolving residential power needs. Integrated with the S-Miles Cloud platform, facility managers and homeowners gain real-time diagnostic capabilities and remote performance tracking, ensuring greater system visibility and operational control, asserted the company, further adding that the system also offers a streamlined five-minute configuration process and IP66 protection for long-term operational reliability.

The Hoymiles HIS-(3–6)L-G3S variant features an integrated display that provides real-time system information directly on the unit. During commissioning or routine maintenance, installers can instantly verify PV input, battery status, grid connection, and load output without relying solely on the mobile application. This on-device visibility works alongside the S-Miles Cloud platform, creating a dual-layer monitoring environment that benefits both field technicians and homeowners, stated the company.

Engineered with installation efficiency in mind, the inverter features a streamlined wall-mount structure and measures just 99 mm in depth, allowing it to fit easily into existing home layouts where space is limited, the company stated.

Covering power capacities from 3 kW to 6 kW, the system includes dual MPPT inputs, intelligent energy management across five operating modes, and full remote monitoring through the S-Miles Cloud platform. This design brings together performance and practicality in a compact format, asserted Hoymiles.

The Hoymiles HIS-3-6-L-G3 series also leverages advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology and a low 100 V start-up threshold, enabling energy production to begin earlier in the day and continue longer than typical industry benchmarks. With integrated AI-driven Energy Management System (EMS) capabilities, the inverter intelligently balances self-consumption, peak shaving, and time-of-use modes to optimise financial returns for homeowners, stated the company.

Key Technical Features:
  • Power Range: 3–6 kW single-phase hybrid inverter designed for residential solar systems
  • Parallel Scalability: Supports parallel configuration of up to 10 units for scalable energy infrastructure
  • Dual MPPT Inputs: Advanced MPPT technology optimises solar generation from multiple PV strings
  • Low Start-up Voltage: 100 V start-up threshold enables earlier daily power generation and longer production hours
  • AI-based Energy Management: Integrated EMS supports multiple operating modes, including self-consumption, peak shaving, and time-of-use optimisation
  • Remote Monitoring: Real-time system diagnostics and performance tracking through the S-Miles Cloud platform

With these capabilities, Hoymiles aims to deliver a hybrid inverter solution that combines advanced energy management with practical residential deployment, supporting the growing adoption of smart solar energy systems.
