Honeywell Wins Best Terminal Automation Vendor Award for 2nd Year in a Row from BPCL

A ~USD 350 million+ company Honeywell Automation India Ltd has been adjudged as the Best Terminal Automation Vendor for 2020 by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), India’s second largest oil marketing company, for consecutively second year in a row.

Moreover, this is the third award for Honeywell in the past four years under this category.

The company won the award for successfully executing terminal automation solutions for BPCL at their Bolangir LPG plant and Haveli installation.

Besides, Honeywell has been also putting up terminal automation solutions at BPCL’s Allahabad, Ajmer, and Jaipur LPG plants as well as Kandla installation.

Commenting on the achievement, Ashish Gaikwad, Managing Director of Honeywell Automation India Ltd, said that, “we are honored to receive this award from BPCL. The terminal automation solution uses a complex set of digital equipment such as digital control valves, positive displacement flow meters, mass flow meters, strainers and air eliminators, and earthing relays that are connected to the batch controller and process automation systems (PLC/DCS).

Honeywell provides infrastructure, engineering services, and software solutions to facilitate automated fuel dispensing into oil tankers, while ensuring the right type and volume of fuel is replenished. This solution allows for increased and efficient truck flow, leading to better productivity at the oil marketing terminal.

BPCL has 78 marketing terminals across India to store and distribute fuel to retail outlets. Honeywell has been working with BPCL for more than 15 years, helping automate many of their terminals.

Honeywell was given the Best Terminal Automation Vendor Award at BPCL’s recently-held Annual Premium Vendor Meet, which attracts the oil major’s premium business partners representing all disciplines of engineering, including civil, mechanical, and automation.
