Hinduja Renewables has announced that the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 2.5 GW of Pumped Storage Project in Assam.
“This strategic collaboration marks a significant step toward advancing sustainable energy infrastructure in the Northeast and underscores our commitment to enabling India's clean energy transition,” said the company.
This project not only aligns with the company’s vision of creating reliable and renewable power solutions but also supporting India’s commitment to sustainability. Pumped storage plays a crucial role in balancing power supply and demand, paving the way for a greener future, critical contribution to grid stability and energy security in the region.
“With our entry into Assam, we are now officially PAN-India with having presence in Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Assam. From the coasts to the mountains, from the deserts to the valleys — our presence spans the entire nation, driving impact where it matters most,” it said.
Last month, the Uttar Pradesh government signed an MoU with the Smart Energy Council of Australia and Hinduja Group to develop a skilled renewable energy workforce and support the state's 22,000 MW solar capacity goal.
