HG Infra Secures 250 MW/500 MWh Standalone BESS Project from GUVNL

HG Infra Engineering has secured a 250 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage project in Gujarat from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) under tariff-based global competitive bidding (Phase-IV) with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support.

HG Infra Engineering Ltd. has announced that the company has secured an order to set up a 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system in Gujarat from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL).

“H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd. has been declared as a qualified bidder by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. for 250 MW/500 MWh out of the project for setting up of 500 MW/1000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems in Gujarat under tariff-based global competitive bidding (Phase-IV) with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support,” informed the company in a regulatory filing.

It further added that the order needs to be completed in 18 months.
