In a major announcement, the Department of Renewable Energy, Haryana has announced the opening of online applications for the Solar Inverter Charger Subsidy Scheme 2021 at Antyodaya Saral Portal. The state government will provide a 40% subsidy on the installation of solar inverters with a capacity of 300 or 500 watts under this programme.
During long power outages, this solar inverter charger device can ensure that the inverter's battery bank is charged from solar urja. The government will provide a subsidy of Rs. 6,000 for 300-watt solar inverter-chargers and Rs. 10,000 for 500-watt solar inverter chargers under this Solar Inverter Charger Subsidy Scheme. Solar inverters can generate electricity from a clean and environmentally friendly source.
Farmers can apply only for solar inverter chargers of up to 300 to 500 W and their installation. The Haryana Solar Inverter Charger Scheme is being introduced as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plan to ensure that every household has access to electricity.
The main aim of the scheme is to ensure better facilities for farmers. Through these solar inverter chargers, farmers will not have to depend on electricity for their inverter or operating pumps.
This scheme will help to lower down the dependence of farmers on electricity. Solar energy becoming the most reliable and efficient source of energy is good for the environment as well as beneficial for farmers. It will further help to combat the air pollution problem as well.
As per the government order, the subsidy amount would be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the farmers, so it is necessary for farmers to furnish their bank account details. The state govt. will transfer subsidy amount through DBT mode.
