GUVNL Invites Bids to Purchase Power from 500 MW Solar Power Projects
Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has issued a tender to procure 500 MW of grid-connected solar power, with a greenshoe option for an additional 500 MW, through competitive bidding for projects across India.

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has floated a tender for the procurement of power through a competitive bidding process from 500 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects without energy storage to be set up/under construction/already commissioned projects anywhere in India with greenshoe option of additional capacity up to 500 MW.
The scope of work includes the setup of the solar projects, including the electrical network up to the delivery point. It also includes obtaining the projects' approvals, permits, and clearances.
Bidders need to pay INR 25,000 (plus GST) as a tender document fee. Further, they need to furnish INR 3 lakh (plus GST) as a processing fee. They also need to submit INR 9.28 lakh/MW as an earnest money deposit (EMD).
The last date for submission of bids online is June 13, 2025. The technical bids will be opened on June 18, 2025.
The minimum quantum of power offered by the bidder must be 50 MW in the case of interstate-connected projects and 10 MW in the case of STU-connected projects.
The offered/declared annual CUF must not be less than 22 percent. The solar modules must be sourced from the ones listed in ALMM.
The net worth of the bidder must be at least INR 92.80 lakh/MW of the capacity quoted as of either March 31, 2025, December 31, 2024, or March 31, 2024.
