GUVNL Invites Bids to Procure Power from 250 MW Wind Projects
Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam has invited bids to procure power from 250 MW of grid-connected wind projects across India under Phase XI, with an additional greenshoe option of up to 250 MW. Bid submission ends on May 26, 2026.

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has floated a tender to purchase power from 250 MW grid-connected wind power projects to be set up anywhere in India (Phase XI) with a Greenshoe Option of additional capacity up to 250 MW.
The bidder shall be required to set up wind power project(s), including the transmission network for connecting the project with the CTU/STU network. The projects shall be located at the locations chosen by the bidders anywhere in India at its own discretion of cost, risk and responsibility.
Bidders need to pay INR 29,500 as the cost of the tender document and INR 3.54 lakh as a tender processing fee. Further, they need to furnish INR 13 lakh/MW as an earnest money deposit (EMD).
The last date for submission of bids is May 26, 2026. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 29, 2026.
The Bidders are free to choose the CTU/GETCO substations for interconnection of the project to the grid.
Minimum bid capacity for Intra-State Projects will be 10 MW, and for Inter-State Projects will be 50 MW. Maximum bid capacity for both ISTS and InSTS connected projects will be 250 MW.
GUVNL shall enter into a PPA with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years.
The type-certified wind turbine models listed in ‘Approved list of Models and Manufacturers (Wind)’, prepared by MNRE and amended from time to time, will only be allowed to be deployed in the projects.
The offered/declared annual CUF must not be less than 25 percent.
The developer must install and maintain a GPS-enabled Automatic Weather Station (AWS)
The net worth of the bidder in the last financial year must not be less than INR 1.27 crore/MW.
