GUVNL Initiates Bidding for 250 MW Battery Energy Storage Systems

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) opens competitive bidding for Phase-II's Tariff-Based Global Competitive Bidding, inviting developers for 250 MW/500 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems in Gujarat.
The Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model will be adopted for this initiative, aiming to select Battery Energy Storage System Developers for the installation of 500 MWh systems designed for "on-demand" usage.
Interested developers must pay a Tender Document Fee and Processing Fee, with an Earnest Money Deposit required for commitment.
Successful bidders, obligated to furnish a Performance Bank Guarantee, will contribute to advancing energy storage capabilities in Gujarat. The move aligns with GUVNL's commitment to sustainable development and meeting the rising demand for reliable power supply.
